AMENDED DESCRIPTION Early 20th century marquetry inlaid mahogany salon suite, to include settee and four side chairs, two music chairs with upholstered backrests, two elbow chairs and two footstools, with bird and scrolling floral marquetry and ivorine inlaid decoration, having floral upholstered seats and floral decorated seat covers, on cabriole legs bearing plaques to underside for Traies and son Elgin works, Notting Hill (11)Condition Report: Sofa: some lifting to back, some minor knocks and scratches to legs, some warping to marquetry inlay. Oval-seated armchair with staining to upholstered seat and numerous scratches. One salon chair with break to backrest, and possible repairs to front legs. Aside from this, lot bears general wear and tear consistent with age and use, with some surface scratches, minor chips, warping. Piece of ivory detached from one chair but still present, some pieces of marquetry detached from the back of one chair, some warping and listing to marquetry.
