All pieces in need of complete reupholster, i.e. springs, webbing etc. but frames seem to be sound with minimal movement (very slight wiggle, not enough to suggest breaks). However there is no guarantee that frame repairs will not be found when the sofa and chairs are stripped down. Full restoration project.

A George III Mahogany, Satinwood Banded, Boxwood and Ebony Strung Sofa Table, early 19th century, the reeded edge with rosewood crossbanding above four frieze drawers, on standard end supports joined by wrythen stretcher, on reed legs with brass capped toes and castors, 102cm by 81cm by 77cmSome variations in colour and timber slightly dry. Some general scratches to the top. Minor split (see image). Split to the drawer linings. Cross banding lifting slightly in places.
