TEMPLE SHIRLEY: (1928-2014) American child actress, Academy Award winner. Vintage signed and inscribed 14 x 11 photograph, the image depicting the young actress seated in a three-quarter length pose on a sofa in between an older gentleman and lady. Signed by Temple in fountain pen ink to the image, 'To Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Wignall, Love, Shirley Temple', presumably inscribing the photograph to the couple that she is pictured with. Some age wear and with a few scuffs to the image, one close to Temple's signature and another very slightly touching the conclusion of the signature. A late 19th century Chesterfield-style two-seater button pressed settee, raised on ebonised and gilt-heightened legs. CONDITION REPORT Length 185cm, height 68cm, depth 75cm. Some areas of fading to the fabric to back and top of sofa. In need of a general clean. The fabric is coming loose between two buttons on the top, but can be easily repaired. There are some balls missing from the legs.
