Believed to have been released circa 1974, this scarce international US 40 x 60 poster shows a compilation of newspaper headlines and snippets of reviews from across the globe. Although it does not depict the obvious creepy imagery seen in many of the film's marketing, it still evokes fear and demonstrates the impact the Exorcist caused worldwide. Provenance: David Frangioni is a published author, music businessman, producer, technologist, engineer, philanthropist, and drummer. He has worked with Aerosmith, Shakira, Ringo Starr, Ozzy Osbourne, Robbie Williams, and hundreds more. Gerry Anderson: Four Original Props, as made by property master, Peter Holmes includes: a hand painted fibre glass globe on a wooden stand, screen used, and featured in The Secret Service episode The Cure and Joe 90 episode Trial At Sea, H.42cm; a two-piece miniature wooden fishing rod with reel, length when assembled 79cm, screen used and featured in The Secret Service and possibly episodes of Joe 90; a small handmade wooden rifle, made to originally contain a charge enabling the rifle to give a firing effect, screen used, and featured in Joe 90, episode 'Breakout', and modified for several other episodes, L. 33.5cm; together with, a cream coloured miniature resin telephone with removable receiver, screen used, and featured extensively in several episodes of The Secret Service and Joe 90. (4) Provenance: The Personal Collection of Peter Holmes, Property Master, and Set Designer.Peter Holmes joined Gerry Andersons Century 21 team as a props assistant after the production of Thunderbirds and very quickly became one of their most talented craftsmen. Set designer, John Lageu, gave Peter his first job at the Slough Studios and asked him to build a chair for Brains in the feature film Thunderbirds Six, and when fellow Set designer, Keith Wilson, saw Peters finished chair, he asked him to make the furniture for Lady Penelopes Pink Room in the same film. Peter went on to design and build props for Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, The Secret Service, the UFO series, Terrahawks and Space Police. Over the years, Peter Holmes has worked for many productions including, Set Designer, Along the Way (1972), 1970s pop videos for Adam Ant, Godley and Creme, Duran Duran, and later, Calling Elvis for Dire Straits. He sculpted the head for Max Headrooms ventriloquist puppets and supervised the shoot of Maxs exploding head. Peter won an award for a model of a Dauntless fighter bomber made for a crash sequence for the TV mini-series, War and Remembrance (1988-1989).

Montanus & U. Neuber, 1551.*** Rare and important work with a most distinguished provenance, in excellent condition and in its strictly contemporary binding. The Honeyman copy of the first edition of the collected works by Johann Schöner, mathematician, astronomer, cartographer, and scientific instrument maker from Karlstadt, in Bavaria.Schöner was a contemporary of Nicolaus Copernicus and in 1526 he became the first professor of mathematics at the University of Nuremberg. His most illustrious pupil was Georg Joachim Rheticus, who in the Narratio prima (1540) announced Copernicus' discoveries. Schöner was also active as a printer and even set up a press in his house, printing numerous previously unpublished works by Johannes Regiomontanus, as well as the first printed terrestrial globe to name the recently discovered continent of America.The Opera mathematica was published posthumously by his son Andreas and is introduced by a preface by the outstanding humanist and reformer Philipp Melanchthon (1497-1560). The volume contains a representative sample of Schöner's wide and diverse interests, and a digest of some of his separately published works, most of which are extremely rare. Part 3 contains the most important section, which describes and illustrates eleven instruments, under the title Aequatorium Astronomicum, ex quo errantium stellarum motus, luminarium configurationes, & defectus colliguntur, a revised and enlarged version of the work which first appeared in 1521. The Aequatorium Astronomicum contains the earliest collection of printed equatoria-diagrams, as well as a catalogue of stars adapted by Schöner from that published by Copernicus in his De revolutionibus of 1543.The text is illustrated by an elaborate series of volvelles (movable wheel charts) used to determine planetary positions. Each part of these volvelles was printed on a separate page, such that the reader could cut them out or trace them on separate pieces of paper, and then assemble the various parts with string. Max Le Verrier (French, 1891 - 1973), Clarte (Lumina), signed 'Le Verrier' on the base, lamp in the form of a nude with outstretched arms holding a crystalised glass globe, on a stepped octagonal black marble base, 65 cm high. With Certificate of Authenticity from Jean-Paul Max Le VerrierPurchased from Bugatty Art Deco, Deauville, 1999Original purchase receipts and sale note from Bugatty Art Deco of Deauville describe this lamp as bronze (see additional images). The metal figure is hollow with a patinated finish, and the edges of the bowl for the shade also show some of the metal beneath, which is bronze in colour. Compared to the marble base there is weight to the metal figure.There is a 'Le Verrier Paris' foundry mark next to the signature. The shade looks to be original with the glass approximately 7mm thick. The light fitting inside the shade looks to be relatively modern with plastic parts, as is the light switch. The cable has an 'Ediswan Clix Patents' two pin plug attached to a UK three pin adapter.Abrasions to the legs and to the corners of the metal base - see images.
