A Victorian mahogany extending dining table The rectangular top with a rounded moulded border above a plain frieze raised upon square headed globe and fluted vase supports, brass shoes and stoneware castors, enclosing two leaves, the leaves possibly of a later date. 77x207x114cms. CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2287 - Two centre leaves possibly of a later date, colour good very minor surface scratching, no worm, no breaks to legs, minor bruising to the angled top section of supports, traces of old polish, repolish good condition.
A good globe Wernicke style open bookcase. With a shaped ovolu cornice above a plain freize above three hinged leaded glass doors raised upon a plinth base with two frieze drawers each with brass handles, centred with roundels enclosing mother of pearl raised upon front claw feet. Approx 134x31x128cm (illustrated).
A MUGHAL BRASS HUQQA BOTTLE Northern India, probably Lahore (now Pakistan), 18th century of globe shaped form, with incised decoration, the sides with narrow beaded flutes, the shoulder and neck with foliate borders, traces of red lac inlay 16cm high Provenance Private collection Germany, acquired 1960-66 in India by the vendor while working in development assistance. Condition: Has been cleaned, inlay mostly lost, some wear and minor knocks.
