A 1950s Beverley dress, printed cotton summer dress with full gathered skirt, with all over pictorial pattern depicting chic ladies carrying hat boxes, shop fronts with awnings (a hat boutique and a florist), pairs of gloves, and bouquets of flowers, in red, turquoise, grey, black, and yellow, on a pale lime green ground, square neck with printed label at nape "A Beverley Dress", sleeveless but with wide over-the-shoulder straps culminating in a point and secured by a large black button, front opening with three further matching black buttons, side zip, bust 101.5cm (40ins), waist 76cm (30ins), length 108cm (42.5ins), together with a pair of 1950s hand-made cotton curtains, with squared pictorial pattern printed in red, grey, black, green, and turquoise, on a white ground, depicting a wide range of domestic objects, including a grater, oil lamp, coffee pot, stringed instrument, weighing scales, globe, kettle, songbird and cage, etc., gathered with rufflette tape to top edge, 8" tear to lower right corner of one curtain (held together with iron-on patch on reverse), drop 109cm (43ins), width 171.5cm (67.5ins)Qty: (3)NOTESA striking dress, so indicative of the 1950s, in excellent condition.

A Regency fortune-telling or puzzle fan, English, 1820s, paper brisé fan, with hand-coloured etchings to 7 of the 15 shaped sections, each depicting a lady or a gentleman, and various symbols, e.g. a bee skep, an artist's palette, wine, a globe, scientific instruments, cherubs, dressing-table and mirror, sacks of gold, gauntlets and swords, etc., the 8 alternating sections painted in pink and turquoise and with foliate fronds painted in gold, and a further section with hand-coloured floral decoration attached to front guard stick, each section backed with plain pink paper, mounted on bone sticks, toned and broken, with connecting ribbon lacking, upper section of front guardstick detached, one painted section and stick detached, one pictorial panel detached and lacking lower part of stick, latter panel and several others held together with adhesive, with some incorrect placings, 21cm (8.25ins)Qty: (1)NOTESA rare fan: not in the Schreiber Collection, and we have been unable to trace another. This fan has clearly been enjoyed, but nevertheless is very attractive and unusual, and would benefit from careful restoration.

A good selection of glassware etc. to include four late 19th/early 20th century silver-plated mounted cut-glass claret jugs (plate worn), various decanters and carafes etc. including a waisted Arts and Crafts-style example with gilded decoration of ducks on a pond and windmills etc. (good selection)Condition Report: 1st box - there four silver plated mounted claret jugs - on all of the claret jugs the silver plate has mostly worn away. The three tapering conical examples all appear to be in good condition. The small spherical example also looks in good condition. Other associated items - a globe and shaft carafe decanter appear OK, a late 20th century example encrusted with flowers which is OK, a moulded biscuit barrel looks reasonable, a globe and shaft decanter without stopper, several other decanters which appear in good overall condition.  2nd box - a large and heavy circular glass vase which has several chips around the rim but could be ground down, a heavy cut-glass jug in good order (probably early 20th century), three hock glasses with spiral twist stems and sundae dishes and four conical shaped sherry (?) glasses in good order and two vinegar-style bottles on good condition etc.

The base has been alterered, so the plinth looks later than the rest. THe cebtral part looks like Black Forest type carving and is well made, but may not be origional to the rest. The globe look complete, but is dirty some marks in places.

An original WWII Second World War period German Nazi Third Reich standard 1937 Luftwaffe officers dress dagger (Second Pattern). The hilt having a gilt wire wrapped celluloid handle, Swastika globe pommel, cross guard in the form of an Imperial Eagle clutching the Swastika, double edged stiletto blade. No makers marks present. Complete with the original oak leaf decorated scabbard with hanger rings, hanger and straps (AF) and original portepee. Measures; 43cm long overall. Provenance; the item was a 'bring back' from the vendor's Father - who served in the RAF during the period, and was stationed all over the world, notably Denmark.
