An original 1960's retro vintage space age atomic gyro ball vanity mirror of vibrant orange plastic construction with yellow bands. Comprising of two separate parts with central circular mirror panel globe top raised on pedestal base. Completely dismantles and stores within itself. Measures: 29cm x 24cm x 18cm.

SOLAR IMPULSE: A very attractive colour signed 12 x 8 photograph, individually signed by Bertrand Piccard & André Borschberg, the image, showing the Solar Impulse 2, a solar-powered aircraft,overflying Abu Dhabi. Bertrand Piccard (1958- ) Swiss Psychiatrist and Balloonist. Piccard was the first to complete a non-stop balloon flight around the globe; André Borschberg (1952- ) Swiss Entrepreneur and Pilot. He holds the world record for longest solo flight in an airplane of any kind, and 14 FAI different world records. Both Piccard & Borschberg were co-founders of the Solar Impulse Project, a privately financed project of a single-seated monoplane powered by photovoltaic cells, being the first ever round-the-world solar flight, successfully completed in July 2016. Signed in bold black ink to a clear area of the image. EX £100-150 Piccard´s grand-father was Auguste Piccard (1884-1962) a reputed Swiss Physicist and Inventor of the first bathyscaphe. And Piccard´s father was Jacques Piccard (1922-2008) Swiss Oceanographer and Engineer. In the Challenger Deep, together with Lt. Don Walsh of the US Navy were the first to explore the deepest part of the world's ocean, and the deepest location on the surface of Earth's crust, the Mariana Trench.
