Royal Marine Light Infantry Victorian Officer’s helmet plate circa 1878-1901. A gilt example. Crowned star mounted with laurel wreath joined at the top by a scroll inscribed “Gibraltar; fouled anchor to the junction below. Within the wreath, a pierced strap inscribed “Per Mare per Terram” on blue painted ground (originally enamel). To the centre, a silver globe in relief. Beneath the anchor, an applied silver strung bugle. Three loops to reverse. Gilt worn, overall heavy service wear. (KK 1091)

Residenz Stadt, der Konige in Engelland, c.1780, uncoloured engraved view of London from Blackfriars Bridge to beyond the Tower of London, the upper portion containing title and key of 52 principal places printed in black letter text, with decorative portrait of Conrad III of Germany (1093-1152), printed on laid paper, 178 x 295mm, mounted, framed and glazed. A scarce cartographic curiosity and part of a series of maps that were produced by the German periodical “Sachsischer Postillon” in the 1780s. London, not well known for its minarets, resembles Constantinople and the presence of both the Globe Theatre and Blackfriars Bridge places the view in a very ambiguous period of time. A Large & Impressive 18th Century Brass Twenty-four Branch Chandelier. The S-scroll candle arms set in three graduated tiers around a central ball knopped stem terminating with a large globe pendant. The numbered arm tenons slotting into mortise holes and secured by finialled pins. 51 ins (130 cms) drop.
