His accolades include two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and a Volpi Cup. He began his career as a child when he starred in the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984, 1988). He later appeared in the independent coming-of-age comedy Dazed and Confused (1993) and various Kevin Smith films, including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). D.S., 1p. 8vo., [n.p., n.d.], a list of men requesting a copy of a speech printed at the Globe office. The speech was given by ABRAHAM W. VENABLE (1799-1876), one of fourteen Confederate politicians who signed this document. Other notable signers include: Secretary of the Interior JACOB THOMPSON (1810-1885), Brigadier General WINFIELD S. FEATHERSTONE (1820-1891), and members of the Confederate Congress ALBERT G. BROWN (1813-1880), and JAMES L. ORR (1822-1873). The other nine signers are: WILLIAM S. ASHE, WILLIAM MCWILLIE, JOSEPH JACKSON, THOMAS H. AVERETT, JAMES L. JOHNSON, SAMPSON W. HARRIS, DAVID HUBBARD, ISAAC E. MOORE, and WILLIAM F. COLCOCK. All of these men were members of the 31st Congress from March 4, 1859 to March 3, 1851. The document was likely pulled from a notebook as it has endured significant tearing at the top, which has been repaired with archival tape. Folds, else very good.
