WW1 Royal Marine Light Infantry Gallipoli Casualty Officer’s Dress Cap. A very rare example worn by Lieutenant Stanton Degge Wilmot-Sitwell who was Killed in Action at Gallipoli in July 1915. The peaked cap is of dark blue cloth with scarlet cap band, this is mounted with a bullion and silvered globe and laurel and above this a gilt bugle. Small rounded peak of black patent leather and complete with chinstrap. The interior with crimson silk lining and leather sweatband. Minor age wear and some age congealing to chinstrap and peak. ... Contained in original metal storage tin, with brass engraved name plate. Lieutenant Stanton Degge Wilmot-Sitwell was commissioned into RMLI on the 29th August 1914 and promoted Lieutenant in March 1915. After service at the RM Depot Victory he embarked for Gallipoli landing on the 28th April 1915 and was Killed in Action on the 4th July 1915 at the age of 18.

German Third Reich WW2 Kriegsmarine Auxiliary Cruiser Badge. A good die-cast example. Gilt oval oakleaf wreath surmounted by eagle and swastika; within the wreath, a gilt Viking ship in full sail atop an applied silver globe. Vertical tapered pin to reverse. Retains most of its original finish. One or two minor stains and some verdigris to reverse. VGC Under the direction of Grand Admiral Raeder, this War Badge was introduced 24th April 1941.

Royal Marine Light Infantry Colour Sergeant’s rank badge circa 1902-23. A good example of scarlet cloth embroidered with bullion laurel wreath (now silver colour); within the wreath, a padded bullion Globe set on crossed silk Union flags surmounted by a bugle horn, in turn surmounted by a crown. Between the base of the Globe and that of the wreath, a bullion fouled anchor; beneath the wreath, a pair of crossed sabres. A little service wear. GC The Royal Marine Light Infantry amalgamated with the Royal Marine Artillery in 1923 to form The Royal Marines.

AFTER JOHN SPEEDE (1552-1629) "Oxfordshire decribed with Ye Cite and the Arms of the Colleges of Ty Famous VNIUERSITY AO 1605", a black and white engraved map, later coloured, with details of the hundreds verso, 40 cm x 53 cm CONDITION REPORTS Fold to the centre. Small black dots all over. Some other creases, dark mark round the figures' clothes. Down the figure on the right of the globe and possible rip damaged to the paper to his right. Back shows evidence of various repairs throughout - some of these repairs are visible to the front, round the villages "Wightam", "Kidlington" down the top half of the centre, the figure to the left of the globe's robes and the village of "Dichley" etc. Various signs of wear and tear throughout. Will need attention to get rid of bugs etc.
