A pair of circa 1910 Globe Wernicke mahogany seven-tier sectional bookcases, each tier having plain glazed fallfront, bearing label for Globe Wernicke Co Ltd, Office & Library Furnishings of London, each h.222cm, w.86cm, d.29cm Condition Report / Extra Information Graduated sections range from 18.5cm at top to 28cm at bottom. Depth of wood 28cm.Two tiers lack scissors.One lacking knob.All glass intact.Each tier with label.Some tiers faded.No bases.No apparent signs of woodworm.

Nice, wooden, original haft completely covered with velvet bands (partially worn-out) and decorate with brass rivets and red tassels. height 238.5 cm.

Bill Culbert (b.1935) Cubic Projections, 1968 signed and numbered '18' plastic with pin-holes radiating light 60cm diameter. Literature: David Mellor, The Sixties Art Scene in London, Phaidon, London, 1993, pp.180-181 for an example illustrated in a mirror-chamber. Bill Culbert was one of a handful of artists in the mid-sixties exploring kinetic and optical art forms. Cubic Projections is a light sculpture that sees the perforation of a black globe allowing spots of light to be projected and a regulated flow of light at intervals to be seen, depicting the image of the bulb filament onto the surrounding surfaces. This sculpture was one of a limited edition of multiples produced and sold by The Lisson Gallery in 1968.

World.- Smith & Sons (Charles, active 1827-c.1880) Smith's Terrestrial Globe Containing the whole of The Latest Discoveries and Geographical Improvements, an 18 inch (460 mm.) globe, in graduated brass meridian ring, with wooden horizon ring supported by four arms and a central column terminating in tripod feet, total height approx. 1090 mm. (43 in.), some later manuscript facsimile and restoration to printed horizon ring, surface dirt and browning, [globe ca. 1870].
An Art Deco style lamp of a lady holding an amber-coloured globe, on a stepped marble base. CONDITION REPORT Some small chips to the marble base, small rim chips to the glass globe, some rusting to the base of the bulb holder. Figure approx height 40cm, some age related rusting to the bulb holder, it is vintage.
