Large flaming grenade; the ball bearing laurel sprays surmounted by “GIBRALTAR”, strap inscribed “PER MARE PER TERRAM” encircles central globe in relief. Fouled anchor to base. Two loops to reverse. Toned VGC.Worn until 1905 when the white helmet was adopted.
