Originally available in 4x4 or 6x4 configurations, the Pinzgauer was produced between 1971 and 2000 by Steyr-Puch. However in 2000 the company was taken over by a UK firm which was then merged into BAE Systems, where it was then built in Guildford, UK until 2007. This example is an Austrian-built 1978 example that has been fully restored to a very high standard. Recent mechanical work includes a full engine and gearbox service, new brakes, new ignition, new starter motor, a steering refurbishment, new batteries and a new alternator. Externally, the Pinzgauer has also received a new tan double duck canvas hood, new LED lighting front and rear, overhauled seats (with new bench), new door mirrors, rubber floor mats, a tow bar, and much more. All the work has been undertaken by Pinz specialists, and all the parts were imported from Graz, Austria. The bodywork is in excellent condition and was reworked and resprayed in Peppermint green at a cost of over £20,000. The vehicle was imported to the UK in 2012 and is accompanied with a small history file. This is a very versatile vehicle that offers seating for up to 10 passengers. CONDITION REPORT Build up of dust and dirt around the base of the brass collar which could possibly obscure some aspects of condition, collar has some light wear, overall noticeable flawed areas to the body exterior of the lamp with a rough surfaces , one small section of hairlines or scratches, various chips and nibbles around the upper section of the supports of the lamp where the raised centre sections, some large losses, further small chip s, nibbles and fritting to the feet, air bubble inclusions throughout, further surface scratches, the section upon which the chimney stands slightly knocked and misshapen, with general tarnish, discolouration and wear to the brass section,.
