A George III Irish provincial sugar bowl probably by John Warner, Cork A George III Irish provincial sugar bowl probably by John Warner, Cork, circa 1775- circa 1810 (IW, STERLING), with a beaded border, engraved GAE, on three shell and stepped pad feet, 12cm (4 3/4in) diameter, 152g (4.9 oz) John Warner, John Williams and James Warner were all working in Cork at this time and, although the marks were not registered, Jackson (3rd edition) attributes IW to John Warner, IW in a zigzag punch to John Williams (then going into partnership with his father-in-law Carden Terry) and I.W to James Warner.
