A Victorian silver three piece tea service, decorated flowers and foliage, James Nasmyth & Co, Edinburgh 1839, approx. 38.7 ozt (all in) (3) See illustration Condition report Report by NG Date letters all match. Some hallmarks with slight rubbing. Teapot: Ivory mounts to handle split and handle loose. Some play in hinge. Front right foot squashed and bent so does not sit straight. Possibly had crest removed from one cartouche. Milk jug: Again one foot a little bent so it is wobbly. Possibly had crest removed from a cartouche. Sugar bowl: Stands square on four feet. Cartouches look even. Overall surface rubbing and with some small scratches and dents consistent with use and age.
A quantity of Midwinter Riviera pattern tea and coffee wares, and other Midwinter plates (box) Condition report Report by NG Riviera: consists of: Coffee pot and cover, three cups and saucers, sugar bowl, milk jug, three x 16 cm wide plates, a 19.5 cm wide plate, and a 22 cm wide plate. All three saucers are chipped. All pieces have been used and show signs of this. Many pieces crazed and with production faults, including a small firing crack in handle of coffee pot. Other items: Six Kannes plates, 15.5 cm wide and a Fiesta plate, 25 cm wide, these pieces also crazed and with signs of use.
