A good Victorian four-piece silver tea and coffee set by Martin & Hall, London, 1870, engraved with frieze of Greek Classical warriors, musicians and ladies in triumphal parade with Persian captive and captured war elephant and incorporating vacant cartouche, between two leaf and tie bands, ovolo borders, ivory insulators, loop handles, dome covers with Greek helmet finials, sugar bowl with gilt interior, coffee ewer 32.7 cm. high, wt. 2147 gm. In fine condition with good marks, crisp decoration, no bruising, cartouches are solid and have never been engraved, handle of coffee ewer is loose at top and needs re-pinning, pin-prick ding to lower body of ewer, very minor
A Russian silver-gilt and cloisonné enamel spoon by the 6th Moscow Artel, Moscow, 1894, also bearing later Soviet marks, faceted stem with dark blue trefoil flowers on turquoise ground, the drop-shaped bowl with geometric decoration in traditional colours on turquoise ground within white bead border, 18.9 cm. long; also a small pair of fiddle pattern cloisonné enamel and white metal sugar tongs, apparently unmarked (2)Spoon has a few minor chips to white bead border and to red and green drop motifs on finial, tongs have small chip through to metal on top of one handle and minor shallow chip on other handle
