The silver gilt mounts are tarnished but appear to be in good order. The footrim of the sugar bowl is very slightly mis-shapen. Hallmarks are struck and legible on the rims and footrims of the bowl and jug, and on the back of the handle.

They were founded and led by Mrs Ninian Taylor, who was granted the rank of Major, and who received an OBE for her services.
