Crown Ducal tea serviceCondition Report: This lot has 6 tea plates of approx 7.5cm with no chips or cracks. It has 2 slightly larger tea plates (1 chipped) & 2 smaller ones as well. It has approx 11 saucers and 12 cups. The tea pot has heavy crazing inside & the sugar bowl has a hairline. The sandwich plate looks to be in good condition.

Elizabeth II silver sugar bowl with hammered dimple design by Edith Carolyn Herries, Edinburgh 1962/1963 (assayed on 13th September 1963), 12cm diameter, 145g gross.According to information held at the Edinburgh Assay Office this ECH makers mark was first registered in August 1963 by Edith Carolyn Herries. She described herself on registration as a student of the Art College and from research into the Assay Office day books, it appears she only ever submitted two parcels for assay, one in 1963 and the other in 1967. In total only nine pieces were assayed, eight in 1963 and one in 1967. With kind permission of the Incorporation of Goldsmiths of the City of Edinburgh we are able to provide scans from their day book although they remain the copyright holders of these images. These images are possible thanks to the research work of Henry Steuart Fothringham, Historian.CONDITION REPORT:Top rim of the bowl is not completely level, possibly made like this.Some light scratches throughout, impression from hallmark is visible from the inside of the bowl.

WEDGWOOD; four pieces of blue jasper dip ware comprising a teapot, length 22cm, a twin handled electroplated rimmed sugar bowl (af), a similar preserve jar and a jug (af and lacking metal lid) (4).Additional InformationThe teapot has a tiny chip to the foot rim and rubbing to the spout, the jug has chips to the spout and there is no lid, the bowl has had one handle broken and has been glue repaired, there are surface scratches throughout.
