An early nineteenth century pearlware transfer-printed pink lustre lidded sugar with ring handles and a footed bowl, c. 1820. The sugar is decorated with scenes of a mother and a child and the footed bowl is decorated with scenes of harvesting and a river trip. 8 - 17 cm tall. A Hammersley & Co 'Dresden Sprays' matched coffee service, comprising twelve coffee cans, 7cm high, and twelve saucers, 12.3cm diameter, each piece decorated in polychrome floral sprays on a white ground with gilt borders, together with a further Hammersley & Co tea service, comprising six tea cups, 7cm high, and six saucers 11.3cm, and a sugar bowl, 8.3cm diameter, and a Hammersley & Co Dresden Sprays candlestick, 16.5cm high (38) CONDITION REPORT:All pieces show surface scratching and wear, and rubbing to the gilt highlights. All pieces would benefit from cleaning.Dresden Sprays - Eight cups and eleven saucers show no obvious chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. All eight cups ring when pinged. Two cups show a hairline crack to the base. One cup shows extensive fine surface crazing throughout. One cup shows firing pits and frits across the surface. One saucer shows a hairline crack.The other service shows no obvious chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.
