HUNG CHONG; a late 19th/early 20th century Chinese Export silver three piece tea set comprising teapot of squat baluster form, elaborately embossed with chrysanthemums, with bamboo effect handle, finial and spout, set with with ivory insulators and bakelite foot rim, length 24cm, milk jug and lidded sugar bowl, Canton or Shanghai, combined approx 36.3ozt (3). CONDITION REPORT: Due to the ivory insulators we are unable to ship this lot outside of the EU. Teapot: the lid hinge is slightly loose and a later glued foot rim. An 18th century Maltese silver sugar bowl and cover, marked MA with an eight-pointed cross, circa 1730, no maker's mark, circular bellied form, embossed shell and foliate decoration, the pull-off cover with a foliate finial, on a raised circular foot, height 12.5cm, approx. weight 10oz.
