A large Chinese tea and dinner service, second half 20th century, in the Cantonese style, comprising four graduated oval ashettes, six 9.5 inch plates, six 8.5 inch plates, six 7.5 inch plate, six bowls, six coffee cups and saucers, teapot, coffee pot, sugar basin, cream jug, five lidded soup bowls and six stands, small bowl, sauce boat, six soup spoons, large bowl, two lidded tureens, lidded two handled tureen and two further bowls.
A George II set of three silver caddies, by Samuel Courtauld, The Huguenot Silversmith, London 1749 and comprising one oval sugar bowl and two matching circular tea caddies all of ogee form, the lids with vine leaf finials, shallow chased in the Rococo style with C scroll cartouches and flowers. The sugar box 5.6 ins in height, 5.25 ins in width, weight 584 grams (approximately 18.5 oz), the tea caddies each 6.25 ins in height, 550 grams (approximately 17.5 oz), each piece monogrammed “R.M.C.” in cursive uppercase and housed in a burr yew wood sarcophagus shaped Regency case with holly stringing and gilt brass Anthemion ring handles circa 1810, length 14.5 ins.
