A silver covered sugar bowl, indistinctly marked, probably Maltese, 19th century, circular on pedestal foot, sides chased with wide frieze of flowers on textured ground, scroll handles terminating in rosettes, domed cover with ball finial and chased band of flowers and leaves, 16 cm. high, wt. 300 gm.Overall good condition, pinprick ding to domed cover, marked on cover rim and on lower body below frieze, one of the marks is a cross.

D. and one other pair with scroll shanks and stems, overlapping ring hinge, marked - A. F. and plain bowls (3) CONDITION REPORT Pair with leaf decorated shanks - marked with lion passant and distorted markers mark on outside of inner edge of ring handles. Ring handles may have been repaired where they join the shanks. Both bowls may have been restored at some time. Hinge has some playPair with box hinge- one bowl marked with lion passant, distorted makers mark and one other mark (possibly a casting mark). Other bowl has makers mark W.D only. One shank may have been repaired where it joins edge of outer to box hinge and on one stem at edge of hinge. other stem has been repaired approximatley three quatres down towards bowl. Hinge has minor play.Other pair- marked with lion passant and distorted makers mark on outside of minor edge of ring handles. One shank has solder repair. Hinge has minor play
