An early 19th Century, blue glass sugar bowl, of pan topped form with `gadroon` type moulding, cold enameled in gold with the verse; "Tender heart and virtuous mind will gain esteem from all mankind", (5in., 12.5cms wide) together with a baluster jug, similarly painted "Forget me not" (very worn 4 1/4in. 11cms high), both possible Newcastle.
