A Naples, Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea, service, circa 1790-95Decorated after the gouaches by Alessandro d'Anna with topographical views of the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily, titled on the undersides in iron-red, surrounded by gilt bands and gilt floral swags, comprising: a coffee pot, a sugar bowl on three claw feet, five cups and six saucers, the coffee pot: 12.4cm high, crowned N marks in underglaze-blue, incised marks (two covers missing, small restuck sections to sugar bowl and one cup rim) (13)Footnotes:Alessandro D'Anna (Palermo 1746–Naples 1810) was one of the artists, including also Saverio della Gatta, hired by Domenico Venuti on behalf of King Ferdinand IV to create an overview of the topographical sites and costumes of the Kingdom of Naples and the Two Sicilies.
