Lot 45

Ornate composite three piece tea set, comprising tea pot, milk jug and twin handled sugar bowl, the body of squat form flared lip, part fluted with gadrooned acanthus leaf and mask border with acanthus leaf capped handles and spout, gilt interior. Total weight 54.45ozt (1693.4gms), hallmarked London 1892, 1895 and 1913, each with a different sponsors mark. This associated set is in very good condition. All the pieces are tarnished, the tea pot the most, and the milk jug the least. The tarnish on the tea pot is spotted and extensive. The interior of the pot is badly discoloured and stained from use. There are some cracks in the wooden finial on the lid, which is also stained with polish. There are some tiny hairline cracks in the handle, and a bit of dirt at the top. There are build-ups of dirt in the grooves on the inside of the sugar bowl. The gilding in this and the milk jug is very worn. The hallmarks are all legible.

Lot 58

George V ornate three piece tea set comprising tea pot, milk jug and twin handled sugar bowl each of squat facetted form with flared lip and decorative floral acanthus leaf scroll moulded border. Total weight 59.23ozt (1842.5gms), hallmarked Daniel & Arter Birmingham 1934. This is an attractive set, and is in very good condition. All three pieces have surface scratches and tarnish, but no serious damage. There are build-ups of polish in some places: in the decorative detail, and blocking the hole in the lid of the tea pot. The interior of the tea pot is quite discoloured, especially around and inside the spout. Some of the hallmarks are rubbed, but all are legible.

Lot 79

George V circular sugar bowl of plain form with flared lip, raised above a circular stepped foot. Height measures 2 inches (5cm), weight 4.46ozt (138.6gms). Hallmarked London 1917, sponsors mark indistinct. The sugar bowl is in very good condition. There are surface scratches and shallow dents to the whole, but no serious damage. The rim is slightly bent, and the inside of the bowl is pitted. The hallmark is clearly legible, but the sponsor's mark is rubbed and indistinct.

Lot 104

A number of items to include a cased egg cup and spoon of plain form and gilded interior, hallmarked Birmingham 1977, sponsors mark reads B&Co. Four Georgian fiddle pattern teaspoons with a bright cut engraved cockerel to each handle, hallmarked Thomas Wallis II London 1806. A Kings pattern cake slice, hallmarked Sheffield 1976, sponsors mark reads HB. A Victorian style sifter, ornately decorated and pierced bowl, hallmarks distorted, sponsors mark reads FH. Three parts of a manicure set, Hallmarked C. Perry & Co Birmingham 1922 and a miniature hand mirror, hallmarked Birmingham 1910. Total silver weight 9.38ozt (291.9gms). The cased egg cup and spoon show some surface scratches and tarnishing. The case shows some wear, the hinge and clasp are in good working order. he sugar sifter shows surface scratches and small dents and tarnishing from day to day wear. A couple of the pierced holes to the bowl are distorted. The hallmarks to this piece are suspect-acid tests are inconclusive. It is possible that the bowl and handle were not the original item. he teaspoons show general surface scratches, one of the bowls has a dent, and another is distorted to the rim. There is a little tarnishing. The bright cut engraving to each handle is a little worn he cake slice shows general surface scratches and spots of tarnishing. he miniature mirror shows surface scratches, dents and tarnishing. There are discoloured patches to the mirror. The plaque to the back is moveable in its mount. he part manicure set, with silver handles, shows general surface scratches and tarnishing,
