Clarice Cliff - Broth - A complete tea for six circa 1928/29, comprising large Athens shape teapot, Perth shape jug, Globe shape sugar bowl, six Globe shape teacups and saucers, six side plates and a dish form bread and butter plate, the whole service, including saucers hand painted with a starburst and circle design with green. blue and orange banding, gold and black Fantasque marks. NB - This set was gifted as a wedding present circa 1929 and is as original composed with an interesting mix of shapes united by the same design. This could have been as the set was put together at the factory working with whatever shapes were to hand or possibly it may have been composed from a number of sets when put up for sale in the retail store. Either way this is how the set has been since the day it was purchased and has not been on the open market for sale in over 90 years

Minor glaze and firing faults. Some small scratches and display wear. The pomegranate pin dish has a hairline crack. The green floral bowl has some faults in the paintwork that look like hairline cracks, but we do not think this is damage. The small bowl has a hairline crack. Otherwise ok.
