An exceptional Newlyn copper four piece tea service with matching tray of truncated pyramid form; the tea pot, hot water jug and milk jug with plaited cane bound handles, the sugar bowl with scrolling handles, each stamped Newlyn; the matching oval tray with pierced gallery, monogrammed to the centre FAW, the whole decorated with medlars. An interesting German coffee set comprising coffee pot marked to the base 1L, a sugar bowl marked no.3 and a milk jug marked to the base 0151, together with a silverplated dish and strainer, the handle of the strainer depicting a German soldier with the inscription `Mobilisatie Sept 1939` with a rampant lion decoration (this commemorates the mobilisation of the German army in September 1939). According to the vendor his father acquired this coffee set and strainer from the home of the late Field Marshall Irwin Rommel who lived at Herrlingen, Baden-WŸrtternberg
