A fine quality matched Victorian tea coffee service - William Hewitt, the tea and coffee pots London 1839, of lobed form, with repoussé decoration of heart shaped leaves and four-petalled flowers, the domed lids with floral and foliate finials, leaf-capped scroll handles and spouts with ivory insulators, on cast foliate and shell feet, the coffee pot 21.6cm high; the two-handled sugar bowl and cream jug by the same maker, London 1841, of similar lobed form but with repoussé decoration of corn crakes and acanthus leaves, the spout with shell decoration, the scroll handles with foliate caps, on foliate shell feet, gross weight 2366g, each with engraved armorial or crest with the motto 'Modice Augetur Modicum'. * The arms are for the Williamson family, originally of Hutchinfield, Scotland Ivory registration: P3748PWL

(Qty) All of first quality, with very minimal signs of use, napkin rings perfect with no loss to any of the flowers, teapot with hairline crack to main body near lid, with some crazing, generally very good. Provenance, private collection from a local Staffordshire rectory.
Eureka "Fan & Owl" / "Fan & Bird" pattern Majolica trio to include teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug, 18cm tall, "Eureka produced majolica in Trenton, New Jersey, U.S.A. Constructed in 1883 by Leon Weil, the factory had only a short period of production before being destroyed by fire in 1887. Presents well although restoration to teapot, hairline crack to cream and finial restored on sugar.
