A George Proctor & co , Gladstone pottery tea service for 12 circa 1937 2 sandwich plates , jug and sugar bowl and 12 cups, saucers and teaplates in good condition This was a wedding present to Phyllis Pullman and her husband William got married in 1937, living in the house she was born in in Bideford, North Devon. They were among the first households to have a phone number, and also ran Pullman Nurseries with Victorian brick and white wood greenhouses out the back. Their plan was to build a bungalow after their wedding , at the top of their land behind the nursery, move in and then open their gifts in the new home. Sadly the bungalow was never built and all their wedding gifts remained unopened.

Many of the tea cups are dulled to the blue, as are many of the saucers. One of the milk jugs is chipped and the smallest is faded. The dinner plates are used and evenly worn and one is cracked. The side plates are worn. Other plates with a few minor glaze scratches through use.
