18th Century style wine glass, the bell bowl with engraved grapevine decoration, air twist stem and standing on a circular foot, 17.5cm high together with another Georgian style wine glass, standing on a circular folded foot, 13.5cm high Condition: Larger glass has approximately a third of the knop broken off, the upper rim shows signs of light grinding - **General condition consistent with age
A Lalique glass bowl, decorated with hounds, signed in script to base "R. Lalique" and with stamp to centre of bowl. Diameter 24 cm (AF). CONDITION REPORT: This lot is damaged hence the estimate. Unfortunately there are three significant rim and edge chips to the bowl. One is small approximately 7 mm x 5 mm, another large approximately 15 mm x 12 mm and the third larger still at approximately 18 mm x 15 mm. There are also a few very minor rim nibbles and several scratches to the interior of the bowl.
A 19th century Anglo-Indian carved horn and bone tea caddy, large form, with two interior lidded caddies, centre aperture for bowl and raised on short bun feet. Length 36 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The caddy is actually antler rather than horn. It is generally in good condition. The top of the carved bone or ivory knob to the lid is missing. The top section of the caddy has a very minor loss to the rear right hand corner. There is some rubbing to the surface of the antler on the canted angles of the top but no significant issues. On the front left hand corner of the caddy lid there is a single section of antler (second in from the left) which is of a different colour to the remainder. This maybe a replacement section. The front sides and back of the piece are in generally good order with only very minor rubbing to a small section of antler. The interior of the piece is in generally good condition. The lid is fairly heavy and there is a recess on both the lid and the base which will have originally housed a supporting levered support which is missing. The lock and lockplate are present but we have no key. There are several stress cracks to the soft wood beneath the lid and a centre roundel to the underside of the lid is 50% missing. The caddies themselves are in good order although the interior lead linings are perished. There is no glass bowl. The feet appear to be original and are in generally good condition.
An Art Deco glass bowl or light shade, decorated in relief with dragons in the Lalique style. Diameter 35.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This lot is not Lalique. It is not signed. It is Lalique style. The condition is generally very good. There is no significant damage, no repairs and no restoration. There are several very minor edge nibbles to the outer top and inner top rims. Only one of these could be described as a chip, again this is very small and would easily polish out.
