A QUANTITY OF ANTIQUE GLASSWARECondition Report:The pulpit vase has a chip to the tip point and is generally grimey.The rose bowl - the glass is in good condition but the metal grill is crushed and broken on several jointsThe inkwell is missing the lidThe other glass items are in dirty but good condition.
6th-7th century AD. A green glass small bowl or cup cut with concave relief bosses, eight to the upper row and six below, and similar foot. Cf. similar item in the Corning Museum of Glass, New York, under accession number 61.1.11. 335 grams, 11.4cm (4 1/2"). From the family collection of a Hampstead gentleman; formerly acquired in the 1980s. Fine condition, repaired.
2nd-3rd century AD. A bronze lidded reliquary jar, squat in profile and raised ring and knop handler to the lid; the contents comprising mainly glass beads of various types including tubular and spherical, and other offerings. 584 grams total, bowl: 13.3cm (5 1/4"). From an old Tokyo collection; previously the property of a Japanese gentleman since the early 1980s. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
A Royal Doulton veined flambe vase, number 1605, 10.5 cm approx., together with a matching dish number 1620, 10 cm diameter approx., a 19th century continental bowl in the form of a swan with forget me not garland, 12.5 cm long approx., a ceramic figure of the Mad Hatter, a Wade Bells scotch whiskey jug, a glass paperweight, etc (7)
RENE LALIQUE (1860-1945) - an "Edelweiss" pattern bowl, clear and greyish blue patinated glass decorated with three rows of Edelweiss flower heads interspersed with vertical lines circa 1937, acid etched "R Lalique France" to base, 19 cm diameter x 15.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Some light surface scratches, accretions, some very small nibbles to the edge of the rim. Age related wear to the base. Overall good condition with wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
