18THC ENGLSH WINE GLASS & OTHER ANTIQUE GLASSES. A 18thc wine glass with bell shaped bowl, with spiral stem and folded foot (15cms high). Also with a 18thc small wine glass with ogee bowl and clear stem (14cms high), a similar type glass with spiral twist stem (15.5cms high, possibly 19thc), and a large wine glass with bell shaped bowl,engraved 'Fiat' and with flowers and spiral stem (19cms high). Also with a continental glass tankard, painted with a Huntsman on a Horse (16cms high). (5). *CR Bell shaped glass with spiral stem, the odd very minor mark/scratch to the bowl. The other glasses seem generally fine. Glass tankard, sounds cracked when tapped.

A mixed lot including an interesting cut glass wall lamp, possibly for gas with brass attachments including lever (38cms high), a glass leech jar with globular bowl, plain stem and polished pontil (21cms high), a lace makers glass lamp (10.5cms high), a glass hurricane lamp (25cms high), and a very large storm lamp shape (51cms high). Leech jar, seems fine generally, large bubble inclusion on one side and one smaller bubble to the rim, some scratches to the base Lacemakers lamp, seems fine Hurricane lamp, seems generally fine and rings nicely, a little wear to the footrim, the odd mark/scratch inside from use Gas lamp, generally seems fine, a little dirty inside with the odd mark/tiny nibble in places.

Two 18th Century wine glasses, one with a rounded funnel bowl on a stem with single spiral gauze, the other glass with a bell bowl on a stem with four graduated knops containing four 3-ply spiral bands outside a spiral gauze, 15cm and 16cm high CONDITION REPORT: One has a chip to rim of bowl and second has chip to base border and another small chip to same.
A selection of Roman glass, 1st-4th Century AD, all in pale green glass, comprising a small bowl, 5.7cm diameter, a conical unguentarium, 7cm high, an ointment pot, 5cm high, an onion-shaped juglet with a rich golden iridescence from burial, 7.5cm high, together with the neck of a Byzantine glass flask, 5th Century AD, later reduced to form a funnel and a small jug in Sidonian style, the side panels moulded with vase motifs, trailed handle and rim, 9cm. (6)/Provenance: from the Henry Sandon Study Collection CONDITION REPORT: Funnel - Exterior decoration to funnel, peeling interior with lime scale deposits. Small vase - slightly misshapen with good pontil at base, later deposit throughout interior. Flat vase - cloudy with flakey deposits to interior. Smaller bulbous vase - with small chip to neck, lime deposits inside. Shorter ewer - very badly coated otherwise in good condition. Shaped ewer - with deposits on exterior, no chipping.
