A HANDSOME EDWARDIAN SILVER AND CUT-GLASS TABLE CENTREPIECE, JAMES DEAKIN & SONS, SHEFFIELD 1902, the triform platform base with acanthus scroll feet cast with scrolls and stylised leaves and surmounted by three elaborately cast griffins beneath a waisted baluster stem with trumpet supporting a cut-glass bowl. An exceptional set of three German/Bohemian panel stemmed wine glasses, c1820, with funnel bowls beautifully engraved with three separate scenes illustrating the production of cloth. Each bowl is facet cut to the base and gilded to the rim, gilding rubbed in places. Each glass on six-sided facet cut stem with diamonds to top. A large and impressive pedestal stem sweetmeat glass, c1740. Double ogee bowl with dentated rim and three bands of cutting-large diamonds above hexagons above scales. The bowl sits on a short plain stem portion leading to an eight-sided pedestal (Silesian) stem with eight sides, slightly wrythened, and a basal cushion knop. The stem leads to a domed foot with eight pinched trails and a rough pontil mark. Lead glass. Height 18.4 cm, Bowl diameter 11.8 cm, Foot diameter 10.1 cm
