A large naval commemorative glass goblet, the generous bucket bowl engraved with a ship of the line and an oval half-length portrait medallion of a naval officer and bearing the legend H.M.S MARS. and CAPTAIN JOHN MANLEY, supported on a knopped stem and domed foot, 29.5cm high, circa 1900. H.M.S. Mars was a 74 gun 3rd rate ship of the line launched in 1794 and broken up in 1823. She was present at Trafalgar and Capt. Manley RN had her from July 1798 to May 1799.
