Many of the artists featured are Sussex based and local to Hastings and Rye where Tony himself studied and exhibited. A late 19th century French silver plated musical powder box with lift-off cover enclosing a clear cut glass bowl, embossed main body and raised on three turned feet, height 12.5cmAdditional InformationThe music plays when the box is wound, the three feet are undoubtedly replaced and later applied. Some rubbing to the silver plate in parts, the piece is unmarked with regard to any makers marks. The glass condition is fine, there is a small lever to the upper rim of the base which presumably should work the musical box which currently does not - however as stated the music does play when wound.
