Thomas Goode & Co, a set of 6 circa 1930 Stevens & Williams clear drinking glasses, each wine goblet with handmade lampwork glass stems containing riders, dogs and foxes (Thomas Goode commissioned the famous Stevens and Williams Stourbridge Art Glass works to make them in 1936. Famous lampworker William (Bill) Swingewood made them with a technique called lampworking. Each of the glasses with a cup form bowl above a large hollow blown knop, each internally decorated with a lamp work hunt scene of riders on horseback, fox hounds and fox by William (Bill) Swingewood, raised to a shallow capstan stem and circular spread foot, height 12cm
Russian Art Deco sterling silver centerpiece or tazza with a crystal bowl insert. Produced by Nikolai Tarabrov in Moscow, ca. 1908. The crystal is monogrammed HM along the underside. Each leg of the base as well as the underside is impressed with a head (kokoshnik) and a maker's mark. Tested as sterling.Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Total; height: 8 in x diameter: 8 in. Gross weight: 1340.9 g.Condition: The glass has no chips, cracks, losses, or restorations. There are a few minute inclusions to the glass original to the production of the work. There is light wear to the silver stand. Some light scratches consistent with age and use. Some tarnishing throughout. There appears to be a pen inscription along the underside that has been partially removed.
