Mr Rush was an engineer, farmer and lay preacher who lived at Golden Cross Farm in Siddington, Cheshire. He was also a historian, broadcaster, author and speaker who regularly gave talks on local history, agricultural history and historic curios. In addition, he was also an accomplished maker of corn dollies.Additional InformationWear to the plate on all items. Rubbing to the surface painting and gilding on the ceramic items. One of the cruets lacking a stopper. All glass items in the cruet with some nicks to the glass.

The mustard with some creasing to the silver under the shell shaped thumb piece and age wear patina throughout. The hallmarks to both teaspoons are clear, the reverse to the badminton teaspoon is engraved 'St Peters S.C. Ladies Badminton Champion 1936 runner up Mrs E Owers'. The small twin handled with a few small dents and general age wear patina.

A pair of unusual Russian silver salts, with Petrograd sceptre and two crossed anchor mark and eagle mark to undersides, on elongated tripod legs and paw feet with applied twin headed mythical creature mounts and cross sections depicting further creatures, holding a part ribbed bowl with opaline glass liners, 3¼in. (8.2cm.) high, weight without liners 5.5 tr.oz. (2) * Each having rubbed hallmarks, glass good with no cracks etc, overall good.

(32.5cm.) high, chips to rim of bowl. * Two large chips and several small frits to top edge of bowl. The silver plated base in good condition.

A walnut cased fountain clock by the Hamburg American Clock Company, with crossed arrows mark to the brass single train movement, a second movement beneath for the fountain automaton with barleytwist glass rod and gilt brass mask spout and bowl, silvered Arabic dial, in an architectural case, the box base housing the fountain, 12 3/8in. (31.5cm.) high. * Condition: Movement does run but only briefly - looks dirty and oily so will need cleaning and possibly other work. Fountain automaton working. Case good overall but dirty. Back of case missing two securing screws. Dial good. With key.
