A rare deceptive plain-stemmed Toastmaster's Glass circa 1740 the bell-shaped bowl with thick sides set on a plain stem and folded conical foot 17.9cm. 7in. A very similar glass is illustrated by L.Bickerton Eighteenth Century English Drinking Glasses p.143 no.360 where it is described as a Toastmaster's glass.
