An Orrefors 'Ariel' glass bowl by Edvin Ohrstrom, formed from ruby glass with pulled bubble radiating panels cased in clear glass, etched 'Orrefors Ariel 1713E E. Ohrstrom' to base, 18cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: The bowl shows surface wear commensurate with use and age, including minimal surface scratching (please see photos). No other chips, cracks, crazing or obvious signs of damage nor restoration.

No chips or cracks.The gilt metal mount to the bowl is loose and the gilt finish is worn. The two metal mounted rims of the plates are also worn. The glass of the plates is a little scratched and one of the rims appears to have re-glued. There is evidence of a small area of polishing at the base line of the four-branch candelabra. The lip of the spout on the pipe-form bowl is a little rough - possibly shallow chipping.
