Reicher Dekor in Mattschnitt mit Blankperlen. Schauseitig das norwegische Wappen in einer Rocaillenkartusche, rücks. ein bekröntes Spiegelmonogramm. Am Kuppaansatz geklebt. H. 23,3 cm.Glücksburger Pokale wurden des öfteren mit Wappen anderer Königs- und Fürstentümer verziert. Dieser Pokal ist Ausdruck der engen familiären und politischen Verbindungen zwischen Sachsen und dem Königreich von Dänemark-Norwegen (in Personalunion) - die Mutter August des Starken war Anna Sophie von Dänemark; überdies kämpfte Sachsen im Großen Nordischen Krieg auf der Seite von Dänemark-Norwegen gegen Schweden.Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass Dr. Zahn, Norddeutschland.
