A Regency mother of pearl inset tortoiseshell sarcophagus tea caddy with dense floral decoration to the lid and front, ivory banded interior with two tortoiseshell canisters and probably the original cut glass mixing bowl, on ivory ball feet, 32cm wide, 17cm deep, 18.5cm high CITES Submission reference 8Z5Z2L6BOverall in good condition, tortoiseshell slightly dusty and dull, one small chip to the front top edge of the lid, otherwise tiny nicks to one or two of the edges, interior with probably original red velvet lining, right hand canister is made from rosewood and the lid now comes loose, bears a label to the underside of that lid for F L Hausburg Goldsmith and Jeweller of Liverpool, the other canister fully intact, both with remnants of their original silver foil lining, lock original but lacks a key, feet with some slight splitting, underside with original blue finish and trace of what looks to of been a later label.
