Eleven sea green glass footed small bowls by James Powell & Sons, probably designed by Harry Powell circa 1870s-90s, of Venetian influence with prunts and shells, 8.5cm high; and a sea green and blue ‘tear’ vase by James Powell & Sons, designed by Harry Powell circa 1901-1910, 17.5cm high (one tear damaged), See Jackson, Lesley (editor) ‘Whitefriars Glass: The Art of James Powell & Sons’ Shepton Beauchamp 1996, p. 99, plate 15 (iv) for a similar bowl and p. 101, plate 20 (ii) for a comparable stem and foot for the first. A composite stem ratafia Glass, c.1760, the elongated round funnel bowl over a two section stem, the upper section with double opaque twist, the lower section with knopped air twist, 18.5cm high. Bearing paper label for Frances Dickson. Parts of the Frances Dickson collection were gradually bequeathed to the Fitzwilliam Museum between 1929 and 1950.
