1st century AD. A deep ribbed amber-coloured glass bowl with rounded rim. Cf. Lightfoot, C.S. Ancient Glass in National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh, 2007, item 146 for type. 190 grams, 12.4cm (5"). Property of a Suffolk collector; formerly acquired on the European art market in the 1990s. Very fine condition.
1st century BC. A translucent golden-yellow glass bowl with hemispherical body, rolled rim, curving sides and slightly convex bottom; to the interior two concentric stepped rings.
