A seafoam green glass bowl in shallow form with an everted rim and transparent style. Roman citizens used glass vessels like this one for every use of their evening meal which is referred to as "cena." A vessel like this one would have been used during any course of a Roman meal, but it would have been ideal for laying out starters (the course called "gustum"), such as cold meat or small fish. - 150mm, 132 grams - ca.100AD - From a private collection, acquired in London in the 1970s. - All items come with Free International postage, accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity .
