A fine old historistmus / reproduction late 15th / early 16th Century French enamelled glass goblet, having a hollow inverted baluster stem and a conical bowl enamel decorated with a rebus of three scenes: a gentleman holding flowers beside a scroll reading "IE SVIS A VOVS"; a lady holding a heart surmounted by an orb beside a banner reading "MO CVEVR AVES", and a goat drinking from a narrow-necked vessel, below the legend "IE SUIS A VOVS LEHAN BOVCAV ET ANTOYNETE BOVC", 11 X 13 cm, [Apparently is a copy of a glass held in the Slade collection (British Museum), made in the Goult furnaces, Provence, France. Bouceau is a traditional name in Provence]
An exceptionally rare mid 18th century circa 1750 Dutch stipple engraved wineglass after Gyrinus and David Wolff. The glass featuring naive stipple engraving featuring cherubs with torches beneath a star, perhaps symbolism of Christmas night in Christianity. The trumpet bowl over central knop stem with bubble control centre. The whole thing over a circular folded foot. Rough pontil to underside. With visible historic damage and careful and clean repair, please see additional images. Measures approx. 17.2cm tall, 7.5cm diameter at rim.

Condition very good, with no dents, dings and repairs. Hinge firm with no movement.
