A 19th Century continental musical picture clock depicting hunters before a village on the edge of an alpine lake, the clocktower with enamelled dial, oil on canvas, the clock movement signed Guyerdet Aine, Paris, with a separate striking movement and musical movement playing four aires, the frame 106cm wide x 84cm high x approximately 18cm deepThe frame repainted and with losses overall to the gesso ornament, particularly along the lower edge. The painting with losses particularly to the rock on which the hunters are resting, around the "clock dial" and further areas, and in need of a clean. And some craquelure to the surface and restoration needed. The movement seemingly complete but not tested. The pendulum present but lacking the top to join to the silk suspension. The musical movement seemingly complete but the tips of five of the comb teeth broken off.

Rare 1822 Pattern Life Guards Helmet, being an untouched as found example which is in need of some restoration. The shell remains generally intact with just some denting and surface rusting, no major cracking or splits. Central brass helmet plate to the centre with Royal Arms and battle honours WATERLOO and PENINSULA. Complete with its top comb but no brush plume. Comb is detached from the helmet shell. Remains of the leather sweatband but no lining. Ideal for any helmet restorer.
