A mahogany brass and glass Wimshurst electrostatic generating machine, unsigned, early 20th century The twin contra-rotating glass discs applied with foil lozenges centred with silvered metal buttons at regular intervals pivoted between two wooden uprights also supporting a pair of brass electrostatic friction arms, flanked by comb pickups applied to insulated posts connected to Leyden jars at each end and with pivoted discharge arms to front between, the base with crank handle driving wooden drive pulleys, on bracket feet (one glass disc damaged), 66cm (26ins) wide; with a substantial electric induction coil, unsigned, early 20th century, enclosed within large black Bakelite cylinder between end panel supports fitted with substantial brass contact breaker to one end and applied with discharge assembly supported on two posts to top surface, on mahogany plinth base fitted with connection posts and a pivoted switch 44cm (17.25ins) wide; and a battery of four glass Leyden jars, 19th century, connected via brass cruciform armature to top and contained within painted pine box with twin handles, 17.5 (9ins) square, (3).

Large 19th century Swiss Mandoline cylinder music box by Nichole Freres, Geneva and London, playing eight hymns, in light and dark burr walnut and scumbled case with inlaid stringing and twin cast metal handles, manuscript tune card, L No. 62, G. No 52289, S No. 2962. 80cm wide, with 44cm/17 1/4" cylinder.Slight wear, scratches and small areas of veneer loss to case consistent with age. Plays well once going though mechanism may need slight attention/cleaning/oil as occasionally needs coaxing to start playing. All teeth present on comb.

Two train double fusee brass movement with separate musical box within the base. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Overall rather grubby, antler of the stag has been broken and repaired. Musical box movement seems to work. Evidence of some repairs to the comb - about 6 teeth. Comb 18cm, cylinder 3cm diameter approx.

Two train double fusee movement with automaton cuckoo. 61.5cm high approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Rather grubby. Musical box appear to work as does automaton with various keys and hand written information. The musical box appearing to play six separate aires. Comb appears ok, pendulum repaired. Music wheel is 15.5 wide x 3cm diameter approx.

Overall 60cm high approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: A little grubby but appearing basically good overall, musical box appearing not to run. Comb looks ok.

Imperial German Pickelhaube Style Fire Brigade Helmet, leather shell with brass top comb, lions head side bosses and leather strap. Centre fitted with gilt Bavarian Raupenhelm badge. No liner. Accompanied by another similar helmet which has naval buttons mounted to the front and one used as side boss. This example is complete with its original liner. (2 items)
Belgium 1843 Pattern Cuirassier’s Helmet, white metal skull with large Belgium lion helmet plate to the centre. Large brass flat chinscales with large semi circle side bosses with white medal fused grenades (one damaged). Brass comb containing black horse hair plume. Brass socket mounting to the comb which retains the brush plume. To the side of the helmet is brass plume socket with red feathered hackle plume fitted. No liner to the interior and some age cracks to the shell.

Helmet is fitted with oval style cockade, plume socket and brush plume. Interior of the helmet complete with pickelhaube style leather liner. Patina to the fittings and generally untouched as found.
