A SWISS MUSICAL BOX, C1890 with 27.5cm pinned cylinder and one piece comb playing 10 aires, the original chromolithographed tune sheet inscribed with their names and headed Mandoline Tremolo, in inlaid and rosewood veneered and ebonised case, 58cm w ++Movement oily/dirt with some minor rust on the comb. The comb lacking one tooth, the tune sheet in poor condition. Externally in good condition with minor knocks and scratches
A 19th Century tortoiseshell musical snuff box, by F. Alibert, the cover pressed with a classical bust, the key wound movement fitted with twenty-two small steel combs playing on a 2 1/4in. (6cm) brass cylinder, the comb stage inscribed 'Alibert 5023', the base stamped '484', 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 x 1 1/2in. (9 x 6 x 4cms) (damages and some losses).

1901-05 Wmk vertical, 4d black and sepia and 1s black and orange on thin paper, comb perf (SG 13b and 15a), former used by very light Port Moresby cds which cannot be guaranteed and latter bearing forged part 'BNG' obliterator (BPA Cert 1998), however both stamps are genuine and very scarce, also a small used selection from same issue with values to 1s incl ½d on thin paper, 6d on thick paper with fine Port Moresby cds and two 2d used in Daru, condition mixed in places (17)
1901-05 Wmk vertical, 2d black and violet and 2s6d black and brown, both on thin paper with comb perf (SG 11a, 16a), each showing 'cross in watermark' variety from the centre of the printer's sheet, this occurs only once in six (or nine) sheets in certain printings, 2d small faults, 2s 6d used by Port Moresby cds for 15 DEC 05, only 764 sold, few of which were used and very likely to be unique with this variety, BPA Cert (2005) which fails to mention the variety
