A late 19th Century Swiss Rosewood marquetry and Boxwood line inlaid Music Box, MMC28407, the typical rectangular case with hinged cover decorated with a floral basket, within graduated borders, and ebonised moulded edging, and further ebonised fitted interior bearing a paper label for eight airs, including Glory Be To Thee My God This Night; The Better Land; Angels Ever Bright Fair; Abide With Me; and Eternal Light, to a twin spring-driven mechanism, and 11" pin barrel with single piece comb, width 23"
A 28 bore flintlock duelling pistol by Twigg, c 1775, 15" overall, sighted octagonal barrel 10" with traces of "Twigg, London" on top flat, gold touch hole, flat stepped lock with swan neck cock, ramp on frizzen spring and roller on frizzen, the plate with second type "Twigg" signature, plain walnut fullstock with flat sided butt and shell carving behind breech tang, steel mounts, the trigger guard with acorn finial. GWO & basically GC (cock cracked, top of comb and top jaw and screw missing, some deep pitting to mounts, 2" of fore end missing) Well worthy of sympathetic restoration.

A 19th century fireman’s leather helmet, with front and back peaks, brass binding to the front peak and ear to ear band with diamond shaped studs at either end, integral comb with brass ventilator hole to the front, leather liner, basically GC (some wear, leather crazed and bubbled); a Vic fireman’s blue coat, made for a child, red bands to collar and cuffs, brass shoulder scales and buttons bearing helmet and crossed axes, label of Elkington Gravesend inside, and a matching pair of pigskin gloves with brass studs.
