Hinged and carrying mounts in iron tarnished and a little rusty. the painted leather panels with chipping to paint around the edges where nailed in place.painted landscape to lower cartouches dry and faded and scuffed. Signs of old woodworn to base. right outside panel partially detached to lower section. left leather panel loose and detaching to back. Glass panels and front frame replaced. velvet interior worn. Locking plate missing to door. All over wear and scuffs commensurate with age and use.

Both cameo brooch pins are replacements and not gold. The agate panel is loose in the mount. The smaller cameo is probably mid 20th century.
